9 EASY TIPS TO MOTIVATE KIDS TO ORGANIZE THEIR ROOM

Motivate kids to organize their rooms!!?đŸ˜© Is it possible?
Then let me ask you first, Is it an easy journey to educate our children?!
What! hell no! of course, it isn’t; this journey needs a lot of patience, love, tolerance, and commitment, never stop repeating with love, helping with care, and finally giving our unconditional love whatever they do.

So as a few people are born organizers, what can we do with our cluttered kid’s room? Is it easier for us to clean and neat by ourselves or help them do it? I know the answer, and so do you! Yes, it is easier for us to do. Still, they will never try to be organized and tidy in their life again – as they always find someone to do their hard and unwanted work – so let’s try these small and easy tips that will help you to teach your kids to clean and uncluttered their room. I bet you’ve never tried these strategies before:

1- make your kindergarten in their room:

Every one of us has entered a kindergarten and even played with our toys; take a tip from their furniture and storage solutions that will make it easy for your child to organize his room and keep it.
Try to use the furnituređŸȘ‘ that suits their age; for example, the younger generation doesn’t ever use a table that is hard for them to clean and tidy their room. Look for washable finishings and textures that withstand rough and tumble play or crafts. Try not to use glass-topped or mirrored furniture, light-colored or wall-to-wall carpeting, and silk, velvet, damask, jacquard, or other dry-clean-only fabrics that will be hard for them.

2- Know your child and their ability and desire and work upon that to keep their room tidy

You probably know there are three types of kids, and knowing your kid’s class will shorten the distance and make you and him more calm and productive in the matter of organizing his room; these three types are:
A- Perfectionist – this type keeps his room tidy and Wardrobe spotless, and this type is the best for any parents as It’s more than likely that their room is rarely messy and everything has a place, making this room easy for you as a parent to keep clean and organized.

B- Lazy but tidy – this type keeps his room clean, with nothing on the floor or on top of drawers, and returns everything to its home; however, ‘home’ is hidden chaos.
With this type, hidden storage ideas work best, with accessible access compartments for us to place items. You will most likely need to spend a little time every weekend organizing these areas.

C- Hoarder – this type of hoarder finds it hard to let go of anything, including toy packaging and cute tags on clothes, and you will need time with this type. You will need a lot of work with your child; go through the whole room from top to bottom, and take a gradual approach of 15-30 minutes each day.

3- MOTIVATE KIDS TO CLEAN BY CHOOSING THE RIGHT STORAGE

Decorative straw baskets might look appealing and pretty, but they make it more difficult for kids to keep their rooms organized. Try to see by their eyes and height; seeing where things go, like their kindergarten, makes it easier for them to manage toys.

Always keep in mind to use upper shelves to hold things that require your supervision — like paints or that craft set with a gazillion tiny beads that get spread all over the place, while the toys they play with most often are on the most easily accessible shelves.

By the time they’re pre-teens, you can switch to baskets or other more decorative containers, as grouping things together will be second nature.

4- SOLVE THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM

We all know that clothes are the number one problem in any kid’s room; It’s so easy to accumulate more clothes than they want and needs, making their rooms horrible.

By solving that issue, you are probably solving 60 percent of the kid’s room problem; you can solve that by doing the two following things:

A- Go Through All The Clothes:
You can go through all kid’s clothes and Create three piles:
Keep – These are clothes your child still wears in the current season.
Donate – Clothes that are out of season and won’t fit your child next year. Including clothes your child doesn’t want to wear or doesn’t like. If you don’t have a lot of extra storage space, consider donating extra clothes.
Store – Put away or store clothes that you want to hand down to another child or clothes that hold significant emotional value.

B- Schedule the Week’s Clothes:
But that is only solving half of the problem because, in less than a week, all these piles will be on the ground again; searching for something to wear every day quickly turns closet space into a mess, so what can we do?

It’s very simple, try to Schedule the Week’s Clothes, make a habit of picking out the week’s outfits for both school and play on Sunday, can hang shirts, pants, underwear, and even socks together in the closet.

5- Display don’t pile Books:

We all know if we put books on a pile, it is probably only for decoration and they won’t ever read them. Having the covers facing outward encourages your child to pick up a book and read. Piles of books get knocked over too quickly. Try to use bookshelves to store only books your child is interested in and discuss with him about getting rid of the rest.

6- motivate kids to sort through their toys

Try to involve your kids in sorting through their toys with you from the beginning, discuss with them and make them understand the essential concepts; the first thing is that toys need to be loved, so giving away something they’re no longer crazy about gives the toy a chance to find a home with someone who is.

The second thing it’s, after all, their room and will be more tidy and clean after they sort their toys, and in that way, they could buy more toys, and after a while, it is more likely that they will learn how to keep their room clean on their own.

7- make a specific place for their memories

Every one of us has our memories about a specific toy or picture or something; leaving all this stuff cluttered in any place in the room with no possibility of getting rid of it due to its significance to them will make you frustrated and hopeless of seeing a tidy and clean room.

Making a place or a box for their precious memories will encourage them to keep them in a safe and accessible location, leading to a clean and tidy room.

8- Set Up Rewards

First, set up a rewards system. Reward your child every time they do something that keeps the room clean.
Perhaps reading a different bed story they like, more time outside, or just a free printable rewards chart you can find.
The most important thing to remember is that if you want your child to help keep their room clean, you have to encourage new habits and set expectations.

9- motivate kids by taking their room picture

Always try to be in your kid’s shoes and remember your time as a kid. Was it easy for you when you heard the words “Your room is a mess,” what is the meaning of these words, and what should I do? Some kids need precise instructions.
So let’s do a very clever trick; take pictures once your child’s bedroom is clean and organized. LOTS of pictures.

Take pictures of everything, the insides of the closet and drawers, the table or nightstand, the books shelves, and the memory corner or box, just every place or storage in the room.
Now to the clever trick, let them always remember where to put and organize everything in the child’s
Print all these pictures on one page and hang them where they can easily see them. This way, your child can easily see where things belong. And the next time they clean their room, they’ll know how it’s supposed to look.

Finally
Ultimately, everything you want your children to accomplish must be through discussion. Try to find innovative motivational tools to make them like their rooms to be tidy and coordinated while not being burdensome to them, such as material🏆 or moralđŸŒč rewards.
If you solve this equation, you will have reached a house with a small paradise for you, which is your children’s 👹‍👧‍👩 room.
