Self-Perception
In your journey to knowing your truth, it will be helpful if you know the dynamics of self-perception, which is often the root of feeling loss. Self-perception is how you view yourself, your appearance, and your attributes while heavily influenced by societal standards, the opinion of others, culture, etc.
With that, do know that the traits you consider harmful may not even be negative. It’s just the external factors dictating what is wrong, right, ugly, or pretty, and it shouldn’t be that way.
Hence, towards the end of your self-understanding journey, be sure to reflect heavily and try your best to guard yourself and not dwell on the opinions of others. You would know yourself best. Your self is yours to understand.
